Stabilisation of open cut at Chapadi.
This was a high risk and highly challenging work of stabilizing the open cut in the mountain on either side of the railway tracks. Heavy staging to avoid unexpected heavy loads was initially carried out. The open cut was then stabilised using rock anchors along with geo-textile members and guniting of the surface. The objective was to avoid rock fall / soil collapse due to vibratory forces generated due to the speed of fast moving trains.
