This shell roof industrial building houses the heat treatment plant of Tractor Engineers Ltd. (TENGL), a wholly owned subsidiary of Larsen & Toubro Limited. The scope of work included excavation, leveling & filling works, heavy machinery foundations, RCC frames structure, industrial floorings, elevated water tank, shell type roof, drainage, pluming and other area development works.
The critical part was the shell roof construction of 20 mtr span with shell thickness of just 75 mm. Controlled concrete mix design with proper workability was used to get the form finish along with necessary camber which was then carefully lifted by hydraulic cranes.
This industrial building is the extension of the logistic center of multinational Siemens. The span of building is 20 mtr and the length is 120 mtrs. This is G+1 structure having an attached office block. The scope of work included dismantling, excavation, RCC frames structure, structural trusses, industrial floorings, trimix, finishing items, door & windows, plumbing and other area development works.
The factory belonged to Sandip Patil the legendary cricketer. This factory was for printing press and other ancillary works. The scope of work included the construction of factory RCC works, brickwork, plaster, machinery foundations, structural truss, roofing and cladding, painting and other area development works. Total builtup area is 60,000 sft.
